THE BENEFITS OF COLOR WORLD’S ON-LINE PROOFING AND FILE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.

Preflighting: We provide you with a custom preflight program that reviews your file and checks it for the problems that will delay the printing process. The program (called Prepare) flags the changes that must be made in order to process the file without error. Prepare is specifically set for Color World Printers. You make the changes and process the file again.

            Benefits: 1) Production time is reduced because the file is correct. It saves phone calls and the time to get a new file. 2) You decide how to make the corrections and you learn how to build an error-free file in the future. 3) Miscommunications are reduced because the pre-flight parameters are set to Color World Printers work flow.

Job Submission: We provide a simple web-based file transfer system. When you log on to our secure web site, you can upload a new job almost effortlessly. You only need your browser. No special software, no compression software to worry about. It works equally well with Mac files and PC files. The files upload and are placed in a job folder specific to your job. You see the files and confirm they are there, available for Color World Printers to work on them. When you log on to the system, you only see your files and no one can your files. The web site is 100% secure.

            Benefits: 1) Saves the cost of a CD and the Fed Ex charge or time to bring your file into our plant. 2) Can be done in the evening or night when you are not using your computer so it does not interfere with work (if you only have one machine). It works when you want to work. 3) Saves the time it takes to build a CD. 4) Allows for fast replacement files when there is a problem. 5) Handles compression and Mac resource forks automatically.

On-line Proofing and Collaboration: After processing and ripping your files at Color World, the ripped and trapped file is placed back on the web site for your approval. You can look at each page, approve individual pages and correct others and send them back to Color World. You can collaborate with others in your office and require them to look at a proof before it is submitted back to Color World Printers. You can approve the page for final plate making, approve it for final hard proof or request changes. You will be able to zoom in on the proof, work with easy to use annotation tools to write text and draw boxes and circles around the changes you make.

            Benefits: 1) Initial proofs can be done quickly. 2) You don’t have to pay FedEx charges to send hardcopy proofs back to Color World Printers. 3) You can collaborate with people in various parts of the country and at various times. 4) You and our CSR can look at the proof simultaneously and make sure what needs to change and what is ok.

Job Status Tracking: Nearly everything about the job is stored and recorded in the job record. You can look at past jobs; look at who approved a proof and when it was approved. During proof approval, there is an on-line chat system so that you and our CSR can discuss the proof, its changes and the costs. Everything will be clearly recorded so that you can see exactly what is happening. There is a fair amount of job tracking information but eventually Color World’s Logic SQL system will fully integrate with InSite and you will be able to see anything about your job from the comfort of your office.
