Dear Customer:

This is a general overview of the Color World Printers InSite and Prepare process and how it can work at your company. Shortly, we will have a visual flow chart of the workflow so you can improve your internal communication and Color World Printers can do a better job of serving you, our customer.

1. You create a file in your native application. (Quark or InDesign or other applications.) We prefer Illustrator, Freehand and Photoshop documents are moved into a page layout program so there are no miscommunications about the size of your document, the bleeds, the format and how it prints. Prepare and InSite work best with page layout programs.
2. Open Prepare and Acrobat Distiller.
3. Print the document using the procedure for your application and OS. (Found in the Using Prepare documentation.) Choose the correct CW directives based on the type of file.
4. Review the document in Prepare.
   1. If there are errors, fix them and rerun Prepare.
   2. If there are no errors, Prepare creates a CW certified PDF
5. Open your Browser and log into the Color World InSite server - proof.colorworldprinters.com
6. Upload the file into the Color World InSite server.
   1. If a new job, create a new job and upload the file.
   2. If it is a replacement file to an existing job, upload to the correct existing job.
7. CWP will receive an e-mail that your job has been uploaded.
8. Your CSR will coordinate with Prepress.
9. The job will be inspected, ripped and trapped.
10. The pages are uploaded back to the InSite server.
11. You receive an e-mail that pages are ready for your approval and review.
12. Log into InSite and view the documents through Smart Review.
    1. You can collaborate with other employees.
    2. You can collaborate with your customer.
    3. You can approve the job as is.
    4. You can annotate and decide to make changes.
13. Decide on status of Pages
    1. If OK, approve the page.
    2. If changes needed, make the changes in your native file and upload new pages. NOTE: You only need to upload the changed pages.
14. When the pages are approved, Color World imposes the job and produces a Digital Blueline proof, Digital MatchPrint proof or plates as appropriate for this job.
15. The hard copy proof is provided to you to exam if you requested it.
16. Hard copy proof is reviewed internally for any errors or omissions on Color World’s part or your part.
